When I got home from work this afternoon there were lots of quail in our yard. When I approached them so I could get a better picture, they scattered. So instead of a photo of many quail in our front yard, I have a photo of one of the quail in the street in front of our yard. Years and years ago before our home was built when we lived across the street, I frequently observed flocks of quail congregated on this property. This reminded me of what I used to see on an almost daily basis. I had also forgotten the noises they make.This photo reminds me of the book, "Don't Let the Quail Drive the Bus!"
